I’m here today to share with y’all the two baby bricks quilts I made this weekend. I didn’t work this weekend, I needed a break and these quilts have been on my to do list for a while!!
I’ve got one more quilt to make when the fabric arrives. As for these two, one is for Olivia… of course. When Jess was pregnant with her I tried to find current baby girl fabric but there was none to be found. But, now that NEW baby girl fabric is available… I had to make her a new quilt. And, we have two sets of friends that have a granddaughter (one already here and another one due next month).
The fabric is… It’s a Girl by Echo Park Riley Blake Designs. And here’s both quilts.
The pattern of this quilt is a simple Bricks Quilt. I have an old video on how to make one.

Here’s the first one I made….
Here’s the 2nd one….
To make these quilts…this time I used a Layer Cake with a Jelly Roll. In the past I’ve used Fat Quarters with a Jelly Roll. The rectangles measure 5″ x 10″ and then I added a piece of white fabric (jelly roll) that measures 2-1/2″ x 5″ to each rectangle.
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!!
The quilts are really pretty! So glad you took a weekend off to make them. I’m sure the recipients will be thrilled.
Hi Angie: I love the pinks and green in the first one – but both are beautiful I’m sure any recipient will appreciate receiving one. You make quilting looks so easy and I know from making a table runner it is not..

I love this simple pattern and it made great baby quilts. I may have to try this one next time I need a quick project
