Baby Girl Shower

Our Baby Girl Shower turned out beautiful and I’m sharing all the details!

Planning the shower has been so much fun and I thought you would like to see everything. The shower was held at The Yellow Barn in Olathe, Kansas.  It’s such a beautiful event space (if you ever need a place to hold an event in our neck of the woods)!!

The invitations, advice cards, welcome sign , name tags and water bottle labels were all templated I purchased on Etsy.  After I purchased the template I added Jessica’s (my daughter in law) name and date and had them printed.  We did some of the printing at home and some at Walmart (yes, Walmart does a fabulous job of printing invitations and signs).

We used a laser printer to print the water bottle labels and the name tags.  I’m not sure we got a picture of those water bottles but they turned out so cute!!

This beautiful stand is how I displayed the Baby Shower Drawstring Bags.  It and the pearls were purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Our video will demonstrate how to make them and it’s a perfect beginning sewer project.

A picture of all 30 drawstring bags…

🎀 Pink Buffalo Check Apparel Fabric:  – Front fabric: 7″ x 17″

🎀 Moda Bella Solid White Lining Fabric: 7″ x 8-1/2″ (two pieces)

🎀 Twill Tape: 18″

The bigger drawstring bags I made originally for the baby shower measurements were….. the front fabric was 8-1/2″ x 19″ and the lining was 8-1/2″ x 9-1/2″.  The twill tape was 24″.

The table settings turned out beautiful!! Scroll down to see more pictures and link to where I purchased everything.

🎀 Woven Placemats

🎀 White Plastic Plates – Heavy Duty

If you look closely at the picture above you’ll see Tissue Paper Flowers.  We placed three of them on each table along with some baby shower confetti.

🎀 Light Pink Tissue Paper

It took me while to figure out how to do these fan napkins.  I’m not sure what the fold is called but I’m calling it a Fan Fold Napkin.

🎀 Gold Plastic Silverware

🎀 Dinner Napkins – Light Pink Absorbent & Durable

🎀 Jute Twine

Cupcakes and Cookies were purchased from SmallCakes in Olathe, Kansas.  The Cake Stands were purchased at Home Goods several years ago and we use them often.

Mimosa Bar – Here’s a picture of our Mimosa Bar and it was a big hit (meaning we ran out of champagne quickly).

🎀 White Metal Ice Bucket

🎀 Carafes for Juice

🎀 Stemless Plastic Champagne Flutes

Staging took place on our dining room table and I couldn’t tell you how many hours I worked on it.

These Milk Glass Bottles were part of the table decor and a gift for everyone.  They were filled with Pink Buttermints and it takes three bags to fill 30 milk glass bottles.  They have corks on top, I just took the picture before I placed them on there.

🎀 Light Pink Gingham Pink Double GauzeFabric tied around Milk Glass Bottles

🎀 Creative Grids Stripology XL Ruler to cut fabric strips for glass bottles

🎀 Pink Buttermints

You could also use Gold Hershey Kisses (with almonds) and Starburst to fill the milk glass bottles but I decided to go with all pink and use Pink Buttermints.

🎀 Light Pink Tulle

Serving dishes for baby shower

🎀 Porcelain Serving Bowls

🎀 White Serving Platters

We love these white serving platters and here’s a couple pictures of them in use.

One of our favorites appetizers is Tomato, Basil, Mozzarella cheese on a piece of French Baguette that was lighted toasted in the oven (brushed with Olive Oil) with some salt & pepper.

Here’s just a few pictures of the event.

Planning this baby shower was very important to me and I’m so thankful I got it right!!  I really appreciate all your patience this summer and I will do my best to get caught up! xoxo

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!!

Sometimes we need to step away and absorb our family for refreshing love! If your peeps and customers don’t see that, then sorry for them. Blessings to you and yours! Congrats to you Grandmother!

    • Sure, we put bath bombs in the bags and they were a hit. We bulk bought the bath bombs and each one was wrapped in plastic. Thanks!
