December Free Stamp set or Purse

My post today is going to be a Hodgepodge of things!!   I’d like to start off by saying “Thanks” to all the ladies that purchased Stampin’ Up! product from me during my Black Friday Cyber Monday Sale.  Thank you!!

I filmed my first live stream on UStream today and I’m not sure if I even did it right.  It was live and I think I may have repeated myself too many times …oh well, I’m learning.  I’ll continue to educate myself on it and see what kind of fun we can have with it.  For example, posting the winners names…maybe next time I’ll just draw the name and save the release of the next months product for my blog post (I’m rattling…so I’ll stop here).

If you’d like to see that video, it’s posted on my channel on You Tube (chicnscratch) or on UStream.

The winners for the November Stamp set & purse are Dawn Guerriero & Sue Speigner.  Congrats ladies!!  Dawn, you have your choice of the purse or the stamp set….just let me know which item you’d like.

Now for the December Free Stamp Set or Purse ……. (two winners, the first name drawn will get 1st choice & it will be broadcast live on UStream).

Dec Free purse

I made this Wild Thyme purse with the Scallop Square Die & the Big Shot Die Cut Machine.  I’m working on a Tutorial and as soon as I get it figured out I’ll be sure to let you know.  This bag is my 4th attempt at a bag for my Kindle ….or is it my fifth? (I’ve since moved on and I’m making larger purses….you’ll see very soon).  I’m happy with this size and I think it’s perfect for my Kindle plus a few other items.

The Free Stamp set for December is Fox & Friends & it’s a set that will be available in January in the Occasions Mini Catalog. (If you’re a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator you can pre-order it now.)

December 3rd update….I’m very sorry but the Fox & Friends stamp set can not be given for free this month. I didn’t realize that it’s against the rules for me to give a set away before it’s available to purchase.  I’ll figure out what set I can offer you in the next few days.

My next picture is a couple quick & easy cards I made using the Fox & Friends stamp set. We all know I like cards I can whip out really fast and these darling images puts a smile on my face!!

Next is a larger image of the purse…I couldn’t figure out which one to show you so I’m posting both of them.

Scallop Square Purse

The final picture of the day cracks me up!! Over the weekend I ask David to lift my table where I cut my fabric.  Leaning over was really getting to my back. So, I googled how to raise my 6″ table and it said to use PVC pipe.   Well, we did it…and here’s the results……

Table legs

Isn’t that funny looking?  But you know…..it works!  No more hurting my back when I’m cutting fabric!  I’m thinking I need to cover up those legs…..I see a glimpse of them from the corner of my eye and I swear it reminds me of horses legs being wrapped!

Sorry for the long post….have a great night!!

  1. I love your table legs! My table is sitting up on 32 oz cans of tomato sauce. But it sure makes a difference in the comfort of my back!

Your purses are really cute. I am totally going to have to buy some of those dies.

  2. Great table solution! Love the sewing projects, too. Thanks for the post today. “Hodgepodge-y” maybe, but thoroughly enjoyable.

  3. Great table solution — you could take your favorite fabric and sew skinny sleeves and then gather them over the pipe and legs to cover them. You might start a trend! I have a counter height folding table and would love more so this may be the solution.

  4. Hay Angie! I love your altered table. Perhaps you can alter the leg extenders w/ some SU! products? I couldn’t help notice (I have OCD when it comes to accident prone items) you need to lock down your left legs! I’d hate to read that the whole table collapsed on top of your lap. You’ve had enough physical problems this year!
I love your purses. You’ve really done a great job on them. I also love your project videos. I’ve enjoyed making several of them and am hoping you’ll make many more. My DGS’s loved your turkey punch cards for Thanksgiving. May God bless, Sandi

  5. You are such a blessing! I have struggled with my table (I think it might be the exact same one you have!) I would also like to store a couple of rolling iris carts under mine and it needs the few inches of lift to to do it. What size PVC pipe did you use?
You know you could sew up, some, {cough}, “Leg Warmers” to slide over the “legs” of your table! 😉 Thanks for the great post!

  6. When my mother was alive she sewed all the time & my uncle did that for her with PVC – it made the world of difference on her back from standing cutting out fabric – PVC pipes are used for all kinds of projects.

  9. Hi Angie, I’m totally in love with the fabric on your bag. Can I have it please? Just kidding. I have a whole room full of fabric, just can’t get enough of the gorgeous stuff. Your video was great, a little out of focus, I think it was the Channel and not you, because you are never out of focus. What camera do you use, I am really interested in knowing. You sounded great! Go girl, you’re on your way. I don’t know where you find the time what with family, Stampin Up!, quilting, making video’s, keeping a Blog, you must never go to bed. What’s your secret? Have a wonderful day!

  10. Thank you so much for the table idea. My husband and I do craft shows selling his jewelry. We do have displays but a lot gets laid out on the table. It breaks our backs getting it displayed and then again packing up. This will make it so much easier for customers to look also. We will use the new legs this weekend at a show.

  11. WOW! Angie, what a wealth of information you are, table legs, purses, stamping and much much more. You should have you’re own show, you’d blow Martha out the water! Keep up the good work, you are blessed with amazing talent and thanks for sharing it with us, lots of inky hugs from Charmaine in OZ. 🙂

  12. OMG Angie the legs on the table remind me of horses with their legs wrapped too! I thought that before I even read what you said! How funny! I have a question about the Sale-a-bration benefits! Is it for every $50 you spend, or for every $50 over $300? I can’t remember!

  13. The wrapped horse legs are exactly what I thought of too when I glanced at the table picture! I think I am going to have my husband do this to my stamping tables. I have two of them shoved together (I’m a messy stamper!)
After I saw your darling fabric I jumped online and found and ordered some for myself. You have really gotten my sewing machine going one again! And I need to order the Quilt Quips stamp set for me!
