Over the Easter weekend I went fabric shopping in Branson, Missouri and I came home with a big fabric haul! I was shopping for some new fabric for some Fabric Baskets and Fabric Trays.
When mass producing fabric baskets, it’s a lot easier working with yardage. You can make 6 fabric baskets out of 2 yards of fabric, one yard for the front and one yard for the lining.
Here’s the names of the fabric (minus the one yard cuts):
- Lovestruck by Lella Boutique for Moda F
- Berry Basket by April Rosenthal of Prairie Grass Patterns for Moda
- Bliss by 3 Sisters for Moda
- Honeyblooms by 3 Sisters Moda – all three patterns
- Chickens are Sweet Spring – Debbie Monson – Creative Sparrow for P&B Textiles
- Mini Fish – Michael Miller
- Diving – Michael Miller
- Checkers – Michael Miller
Here’s my Fabric Haul video –
I’m sorry I don’t have a new sewing video for you! It’s a busy time with work and we have our new catalog launch in May (and our incentive trip) so the only sewing I’m doing is for card club and chic candy for my blog. Things should settle down a bit in late May (unless I have surgery).
Have a great day!
p.s. the sewing tutorial I mentioned last time, I was never able to master it so I’ve ditched it. I tried watching several videos from other people but it was too complicated. I’ll keep looking for something to share with you!
I love your baskets and trays so much that I bought a new sewing machine. Nothing fancy but I think it will make the trays and baskets. But then they won’t be special because you didn’t make them!!! But I’ll still give it a try.
Love Struck is probably my all time favorite fabric. I have a 1 yard bundle and a fat quarter bundle and a jelly roll. LOL!
My new obsession of the moment is Shoreline.
Those are some very pretty fabrics.
Love the fabric haul! I love fabric shopping. Pretty colors make me happy.
BEAUTIFUL Fabrics! Thanks for sharing! Love all the combinations!
So pretty!! I especially love those chubby cats!! Looking forward to seeing your new creations!
