My picture today is of the FREE BUNDLE I’m offering for the month of April.
It includes:
- Summer Smooches Zipper Bag.
- Wacky Wishes Stamp Set
- Patterned Occasions Stamp Set
- A package of Soda Pop Tops … also known as Bottle Caps.
I’ll be offering these kits for April, May and June (different kit each month) and here’s how you can enter to win:
- One chance for every $25 order …. that means if you order $75 .. your name will be entered 3 times (sale tax and shipping are not included)….and so on!
- Join my team … become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and you get 3 chances to win.
- Chics • Paper • Ink team members .. if you promote in the month of April .. you get five chances.
- I’ll draw the name Live on You Tube (using Google Hangout) the first week of May (date will be posted after April 30th).
Next subject … I’ve abandoned my new quilt .. and moved back to Bags and Purses…. why? Because it’s instant gratification! I can make one of these bags in three hours.
These are the bags I made over the weekend …
Here’s the list of Stampin’ Up! Fabric I used on these bags:
- 125411 Summer Smooches
- 126894 Comfort Cafe
- 125412 Twitterpated
All three bags can be made with the three Fat Quarters you receive when you order the Stampin Up Fabric.
And .. I’m working on a new Purse / Bag for my team members that are going to our Stampin Up! Convention …. so far I’ve not found the perfect one .. but I’ve got two more patterns to work with this week.
I posted these bags on my Chic n Scratch Facebook page yesterday and that generated some questions .. here they are:
- Q: Am I selling them?
- A: At this time ….I am not.
- Q: Will I teach you how to make these bags?
- A: I’m not sure. These bags were made by a pattern that I purchased and I need to find out how that works. The instructions are copyrighted and I know I can’t re-sell them .. but can I demo how to make them? Whatever I find out .. that’s what I’ll do.
- Q: Can share a link to the pattern?
- A: I don’t have a link .. I actually purchased it from one of our local quilt shops and they do not offer the pattern online…I looked after the first person ask. But .. I did see tons of zipper bags when I was looking ….so if you are looking for a zipper pouch pattern .. it shouldn’t be to hard to find (on Google).
Thanks & have a great day!!
These are Wonderful! I am so inspired by you! Thanks for sharing so much with us! Cheers, Donna
Oooo ooo would be nice to win one
Stunning bags! Love the fabric!
Any updates about your Feedly/Bloglovin experience?
Hi Brenda, I’ve been using Bloglovin because they also send me an email with every post for that day. It’s taking the place of Google Reader and Feedburner.
Those bags are adorable. I have a beautiful sewing machine, but have never been good at sewing. I have so much patience when it comes to papercrafting and none when it comes to sewing! I love your blog and everything you make.
Very cute cute cute bags. So talented. Love them all. 🙂
Your bags are lovely and your give away looks like a fun one! I’ve missed seeing your sewing videos. You teach in a way that is so easy for me to learn from. Have you asked the person who made the pattern if they would be willing to partner with you in selling a video tutorial? I would love to buy her patterns, but I’m not good at following written directions.
Heather, I called them today and they said I could not do a video .. that my video would keep people from purchasing the pattern. I told her that my customers want both the video and instructions but she didn’t see it from our point of view.
That just makes me sad, Angie. 🙁 I kind-of understand her point of view, but she is missing out on a great opportunity. I watched a video on youtube showing how to make a zippered make-up bag. I bet I could figure out something similar to this bag using that video. The top zipper part of your bags are nicer than the one I saw though.
Here is the link to the video I watched. Feel free not to post this comment, I just wanted you to see. She has a couple of really cute bags and has me itching to dust off the sewing machine. Perhaps you will come up with your own version that is a combo of the two.

OMG .. I watched that video .. boy is that confusing!! Not at all how I made mine. But you are right .. I think I can switch up the bag enough to create my own. Just need to get through Virtual Birthday Bash this week and I’ll work on the zipper bag next week.
Thanks for sending me the link!
I love, love, love the zipper bag. Maybe the name of the store so we can all bombard them with orders that they can ship?? 🙂
Your bags are very lovely. I am sure they will be so usefull and will surely draw attention. I have a cute little bag pattern I need to send you that is just the right size for the Stampin up fabric.
Hi Angie,
I love those bags!!! Is it possible for you to post the name of the pattern you purchased along with the name of the store you bought it from?
Thanks!
