How to Make a Quilted Fabric Basket with Chic n Scratch, Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Angie Juda
These Quilted Fabric Baskets are super easy to make!! And, you get 6 Fabric Baskets out of Six Fat Quarters. Or you could use a Jelly Roll.
Fat Quarters measure 22″ x 18″ and you’re going to cut your fabric strips to measure 2-1/2″ x 11″.
You need six strips for the front and six strips for the back. The lining pieces are 11″ x 12″ and you need two of them.
The Fusible Fleece measures 12″ x 21-1/4″.
You’ll also need your Basic Sewing Supplies….

Angie, I finally made one of these baskets, but have a question about the lining. My lining came out way bigger than the basket. I believe the lining is cut 11″ x 12″. Which side is sewn together, the 11″ or the 12″ sides?
Hi Donna, I believe I sew the 12″ side. If the lining fabric isn’t directional I use one large piece instead of two pieces (same measurement as the fusible fleece).
