Small Tote Bag

How to Make a Small Tote Bag with Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Angie Juda

I’m excited to teach you how to make this small tote bag!!

If you’re a member of my Chic n Scratch Stamps Facebook group, you voted for me to share how to make the red handled tote… and the following video tutorial does that, just using different fabric.

This is a Fat Quarter friendly project because you need two pieces that measure 11″ x 8″ for the outside fabric and two pieces for the inside fabric. And, two pieces that measure 3″ x 9″ for the handles.

Step by Step instructions on how to make the Small Tote Bag.

Special Note: In my video I use the edge of my Bernina Foot #1 for my seam allowance.  A normal seam allowance is 1/4″… using my Bernina foot, my seam allowance is 5/16th”.  Which is only 1/16th” difference. You can use a 1/4″ seam allow allowance and it will work just fine.

You’ll also need your Basic Sewing Supplies….

  4. What are the inside dimensions for this tote? I am getting a 5″ baby doll & making a few outfits for it & I want to be sure this will hold these items before I make it; thank you! Linda
